The aircraft...

okay. this one's my favorite. For two simple reasons. I get lost in this story everytime i read it. And it literally forces you to tax your brains and open your imagination! Thats what happens to me. Find it out yourself. please tell me how you found it. “Sunil, don’t forget to take you umbrella. It’s an unpredictable weather and it could rain any time”, Mrs. Verma said bluntly from the kitchen while preparing dough. Mr. Verma looked sarcastically in that direction and without speaking a word took his umbrella and darted out of the house. Parking his scooter outside, Mr. Verma entered the park, wandering his eyes all over the place to find out a silent corner for himself. The park was all buzzing with people and kids which made Mr. Verma all the more irritated. Fuming with anger he made his way to a broken bench in the corner of the park. He threw down his umbrella when he recalled how he and his wife had a heated argument this morning which of course had left Mrs. Ver

Stranger on the highway

Although this may seem to be a very common place title for a story i had a hard time choosing this one. And it seems to be the most appropriate to me. I had this story idea from our very own bollywood movies. LOL. Initially i had written it with the idea of a movie script. Hence the dialogues. Do leave in your comments for this one. I had to tax my brains for this one :-) The Stranger on the Highway…… Karan Oberoi is driving his black Mercedes on the dark highway… he is dressed shabbily and is homeward bound from a fresher party. He is slightly drunk and is having difficulty controlling the steering wheel. He sees a girl of about 22, dressed in a traditional suit, waving out to him as if asking for a lift. The car screeches to a stop. Karan pulls the window down.. he turns towards the window… facing the girl, who is bending down with an agitated expression.. Karan: Can I be of any help to you lady? Girl: Well yes. My car just broke down and I need to reach the city wi

My First Post

The word "Story" is enough to fascinate an eight year old. I really don't know as to who invented the art of story telling but i guess it was a great way to polish the imagination and creativity of children. I can hardly recall having listened to any of those fairy-tale stories although i have a vague memory of reading them! It was just a passing thought when i first thought of making a blog where i could recreate the age-old art of story-telling in my own way. I can fairly say that i have a pretty good imagination power and i wont deny that i do refer to other people for better ideas but i will be duly crediting them for that! Please feel free to post your valuable comments for any of my articles. It will be a boost for me to write better! Thanks for taking time to read my first ever post.Enjoy reading!
